PART-TIME POSITION FOR NIGHT SHIFT WORKING ONE NIGHT A WEEK. (Monday)
NO MORE THAN 24 HOURS PER.
REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have experience transporting clients and/or be over the age of 25, pass auto insurance criteria and have a valid driver's license; posses a minimum of a high school diploma or GED or a higher degree in any human relations discipline.
REPORTS TO: Position reports to Group Home Case Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be observant of changes in resident client functioning, informing primary therapist of observed changes and working with the clinical team to assist client’s progress in independent living skills.
- Monitor and document client’s self-administration of medications.
- Document client’s behavior and functioning every shift.
- Assist clients with the development of weekly menus and grocery shopping and chores, as well as planned weekly activities.
- Assist clients in their development of independent living skills, which include cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, socialization and skill training.
- Be awake and available to clients throughout scheduled shifts.
- Notify Group Home Case Manager of identified problems with the facility and clients.
- Schedule and coordinate monthly fire drills, emergency procedures.
- Work to assure the physical safety and well being of all client residents.
- Assure The Solutions House is staffed and maintained 24/7/365.
- Transport clients to and from therapy sessions, activities, shopping, training and job when needed.
- All other duties as assigned by the Group Home Case Manager and/or by the Executive Director.
- Become knowledgeable of agency/program policies, procedures, as well as area resources and agencies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- The employee may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 40 pounds
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet
- License to operate a motorize vehicle
Satisfactory job appraisal requirements for a part-time Mental Health Technician will be determined within the next 90 days and will be reviewed with you by Jared Bingham and your immediate supervisor.
