As Fleet & Transit M&A Director, you will be accountable for our strategic acquisitions plans and managing the various eco systems by conducting studies, performing operational and financial company evaluations, identifying targets, and negotiating and closing acquisitions, alliances, divestitures, and licensing opportunities. You’ll build and maintain strategic partner relationships with select potential channel partners through Sales and Business Development. *** This position is a virtual, remote-based U.S. opportunity, with preferred locations in CA, AZ or TX ***
This position reports to
SVP Business Line Transit & Fleet
Your responsibilities
- Develop and manage the target lead list of acquisitions, investments & partnerships in target markets, including
- electrician businesses, contracting businesses, service & maintenance businesses, and software & solutions businesses
- Generate new ways of finding leads for the deal funnel
- Identify and develop through Sales, key account and strategic alliances and relationship programs designed to produce sales opportunities to scale the E-mobility /Fleet & Transit business, drive recurring revenue streams & increase profitability
- Collaborate closely with E-mobility Finance/M&A, verticals, and horizontals to identify, define and align with the E-mobility business and operating strategy
- Evaluate program trends and provide financial analyses, long-range forecasting and analysis studies associated with potential alliances/partnerships to E-mobility Executive Leadership Team
- Provide internal guidance, influence, and obtain the buy-in to move forward with proposals and projected timeline for acquisition(s)
- Support Channel Partner activities for ABB E-mobility products and solutions
- Develop framework and templates for the operational and financial evaluation of various target business types
- Source, develop, and manage strategic partner alliances/partnerships and opportunity pipelines to ensure the retention, growth and customer satisfaction of all eco-systems partners and accounts
- Drive the alignment of mutual goals, strategies, and objectives to build awareness and support of overall strategic benefits of the alliance and evangelize company and partner products, services and solutions within the given eco-system
- Evaluate program trends and provide financial analyses, long-range forecasting and analysis studies associated with potential alliances/partnerships to E-mobility Executive Leadership Team
- Monitor competitor activity in accounts and implements strategies to maintain account ownership and block competitor advancement
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related is required with a minimum of 8 -12 years of M&A experience preferably in the Automotive, Electrification, Energy & Power, IoT and related Service Industries; Master’s Degree a plus
- Provides strong leadership, vision, support, and clear directions to senior directors/managers
- Must lead by example with direct experience successfully leading M&A efforts and the strong capability to establish collaborative relationships across organizations
- Strong capability to identify, develop, and manage strategic partner alliances, partnerships and opportunity pipelines is required
- Proven record of influencing, negotiating, and delivering creative and innovative business solutions is required
- Must have a financial and analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
- Excellent English language verbal and written communication, presentation skills absolutely required
- Must be willing and able to travel both Domestically and Internationally up to 35%
- Salary Range for this position: 175K -200K Base salary, plus 45% Bonus
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
- International relocation is not available for this position
