Kenvue is recruiting for a for a Manufacturing Mechanic-Operator, Downstream this position reports to a Manufacturing Supervisor and is located in Las Piedras, PR.

What will you do:
Responsible for the manufacturing of finished goods within the area of responsibility to assure quality and compliance. Ensure that all goods are manufactured in accordance with established procedures and specifications according to current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, Safety and Company policies. Performs and supports the continued implementation of maintenance programs within the area of responsibility. Makes/ coordinates the equipment preliminary assessment, preventive maintenance; minor repairs and modifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machines and process equipment following all instructions and precautions for quality, safety and environmental establish to meet the expectations of quality, safety, environmental and production plan of the shift.
- Make adjustments, changes and cleaning of equipment and/or work stations according to operational procedures in the area to support production activities and meeting with EHS procedure to prevent spills and the increasing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste generation.
- Document operating, cleaning and maintenance processes in their official documents or computerized systems (logs, records, etc.) as the SOP's and records noting compliance with cGMP's established requirements.
- Maintain assigned areas clean, tidy and safe to align with safety and environmental procedures, rules, and regulations and with the good manufacturing practices.
- Takes samples of the product during processing, according operational procedures. Perform process testing as established in the batch record to ensure that meets the product acceptance parameters.
- Transport processing material from one location to another at each process step using a forklift or hand jack, following safety procedures, rules and regulations.
- Carry out transactions in the computerized inventory system, for each stage of the process, as required in the operational procedure (certified operators). - Maintain direct communication with supervisors and maintenance specialist to assess and prevent situations of non-compliance. Inform the mechanic and / or supervisor, quickly, any malfunction or equipment breakdown reported.
- Attend turnovers meetings, when is needed, to discuss relevant information to the operation in order to ensure the continuity of the operation.
- If the employee is a certified trainer, train new operators in the area and ensure that they receive adequate training, as needed.
What we are looking for:
Education:
- A minimum of a Technical Degree in Industrial Mechanics, Electro Mechanics, Electronics, Electricity or a High School degree with four (4) to six (6) years of experience in the role of mechanic in the pharmaceutical areas.

- Four (4) to six (6) years with proven experience in manufacturing areas as a mechanic or manufacturing operator.
Experience in PLC, HMI and automated packaging equipment.
- Basic communication in english / spanish.
Preferred
- Understanding of the Electrical Systems (up to circuit breaker), Electronic Circuits and components; troubleshoot Electronic Circuits and Systems.
- Previous experience in preventive/corrective maintenance and equipment failure diagnostic.
- Demonstrates mechanical application experience in equipment setup, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate knowledge on MES and SAP.
- Electricity / Electronic basic knowledge and troubleshooting expertise.
- Knowledge in preventive maintenance concepts (CM, PM, TPM).
- Knowledge in inspection and Vision Systems (e.g. Laser Code, Cognex Camara, Optel Vision System, etc.), temperature Control System –BMS, Kanban, 5s, SMED, Kaizen, Visual Management, Poka-Yoke, Housekeeping - Golden Rule and/or Zero DefectJidoka.
- Ability to performs transactions in computer system (HMI, SCADA).
- Proven knowledge in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness.

- Flexibility to work overtime if required (by business demand).
