POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Manager, Trade Planning Management is responsible for ensuring the HSY Customer plan is accurately reflected in the sales, planning & reporting systems – supporting the ONE/FulFiL sales teams. This role will be a critical cross functional business partner on Hershey’s Customer Planning and Trade Management system (PlanEx) and related capabilities. The Manager will collaborate with Sales to drive customer planning capabilities, optimize CSE planning/efficiency, and stage & maintain the system for planning. This role operates at the center of analytics and reporting, training, identifying opportunities in sales and trade forecasting as well as promotion optimization through PlanEx.


MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the Annual Customer Planning Process. Ensures that all Planning milestones are achieved through the on-time delivery of tools and plan updates that enable customer teams & sales planning to provide high quality and timely input into the planning process & key planning milestones.
  • Supports the creation of Annual Sales Targets into planning capabilities, incorporating input from key stakeholders. Updates PlanEx and other planning tools, diligently capturing inputs from key stakeholders, ensuring accuracy of the inputs and of the resulting price / revenue / volume targets at each step throughout the planning process. Deliver the base updates and plan-scaling processes.
  • Responsible for the delivery of reports and analytics as needed by stakeholders to understand the composition of the plan and degree of stretch relative to current business trends
  • Develops a collaborative partnership with key stakeholders – in order to support the creation of the annual sales plan with high connectivity with the following functions: Sales, Sales Planning, Commercial Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, SRGM, Accounting, and IT.
  • Participates in weekly planning routines providing plan & process updates as needed to key stakeholders in cross-functional groups
  • Develops and maintains planning tools. Responsible for executing improvements to the planning tools and process as needed to better facilitate the planning process and create value for stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with key sales personnel in the management of the Trade Promotion Optimizations systems, including data input, maintenance, and post promotional review in accordance with established guidelines and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience, etc.):

Education: Bachelor’s degree required

Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in CPG (sales/marketing/finance/analytics)

Dedicated analytics and insights; strong modeling capabilities

Ability to tell clear, concise story and articulate tradeoffs

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.

Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office applications (intermediate to advanced Excel skills required) as well as data base management with proven ability to integrate multiple data streams, perform in-depth data analysis, and demonstrated ability to translate data into action and develop insights and strategy recommendations.

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Experience in TPM/SAP systems is desired.
