Job description
Material Handler
Loads, Unloads, and moves materials within the plant. Uses Pick lists to provide production with the raw materials needed. Using weigh counters and other methods ensures the correct quantities are provided to Production. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, Racks, and shelves either by hand, hand truck, pallet jack, or forklift. Responsible for Daily cycle counts and investigating any discrepancies. Performs various other related tasks as needed.

1:30pm- 10pm

Day shift Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm $18/hr
12 hour shifts
Sunday-Thursday +every other Wed 6am-6pm $18.90/hr
Thursday-Saturday + every other Wed 6am-6pm $18.90/hr
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school Diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
- Forklift experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.
- Excellent communication skills
- Works independently and proactively
- Strong attention to detail
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position.
- Use Pick lists to pick and deliver raw materials to production as needed in the appropriate quantities.
• Stock and organize warehouse shelves ensuring raw materials are in the correct locations. • Perform daily cycle counts and investigate root causes of any discrepancies.
- Use forklift to place and remove raw materials in pallet racking.
- Use pallet jack, carts, hand trucks and other tools to move raw materials.
- Use Bar Code scanners to issue materials to work orders.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to multi-task.
- Flexible – accepts changes to tasks, schedules, and plans easily.
- Ability to write and speak English fluently and effectively.
- Must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be effective working on teams, influential and able to negotiate to reach optimal decision
