Leidos has an immediate need for an experienced Microsoft Security Engineer for a highly visible and strategic Cybersecurity Task Order. The Microsoft Security Engineer will be responsible for design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of core operational services such as Active Directory, IIS, and DNS within the Security Enclave. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to work within a team to stand up and mature the cybersecurity capabilities of our customer.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support system security & design documentation to meet FISMA and FedRAMP compliance standards
- Create, manage, test, and maintain Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
- Patch, update, and upgrade Microsoft servers and applications
- Support analysis of security posture by reviewing vulnerability and compliance scans and making recommendations for remediations and managing POAMs
- Configure and maintain services such as IIS and DNS in an Azure environment
- Manage certificates and deploy to servers and hardware security modules
- Coordinate and collaborate with Cloud infrastructure team to ensure high availability of IT services
- Support implementation and management of organizational IAM solutions
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience designing, implementing, and validating Microsoft product security configurations to include but not limited to Azure Cloud, AD, GPO, IIS,
- Implement, manage, and maintain Microsoft ADFS, Azure MFA, Microsoft AD Integration with Cloud Applications, and Microsoft Azure Active Directory
- Experience with Azure AD, IAM, RBAC, and policy-based access
- Perform management of Public Key Infrastructure and certificate lifecycle
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, or any other SIEM integration
- Must have the ability to review and understand technical policies and standards and provide subject matter expertise and recommendations in its practical application and implementation in an enterprise network security environment
Preferred Certifications:
Candidate must, at a minimum, meet one of these certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CCNP, CCIE Security, CEH, RHCSA, RHCA, RHCE, MCSE, COMPTIA Security+, GCIH, GPEN, OSCP, OSCE, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience automating management tasks with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Experience developing in Bash, Python, and/or Powershell
Experience working with SIEM tools such as Splunk to ingest, normalize, store, and maintain data from endpoint, network, and application sourcetypes.
Experience working in Azure
Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
