The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) us seeking a Mid-Level Financial Manager to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency in the oversight and monitoring of International Cooperative Programs (ICP) funding. This position is hybrid, with occasional work on-site at Ft. Belvoir and from ARA offices in the National Capital Region/northern Virginia (and telecommuting where approved). This five-year-duration position is contingent on award of the ICP contract to ARA, expected August 2023.
This position requires a candidate with experience performing a variety of financial analysis, tracking, and administrative functions. The Financial Manager will maintain oversight of changes and cost impacts associated with ICP meetings, conferences, workshops, exercises, etc. The FM will provide expedient analysis of cost impacts due to increases and decreases in cost drivers (i.e., participant numbers, logistical requirements, shipping, interpreters, and labor hours) and provide monthly reports. The FM will also provide an event cost comparison outside of the monthly report.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS with 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Must possess a DoD secret security clearance
- Expertise with MS Excel and other Microsoft Office Tools
- Ability to track and evaluate large amounts of data
- Report writing and editing skills
Desired Qualifications:
- DoD Financial Management Certification
- MS/MA degree
- Experience with DoD planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE)
- DoD TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
This position is contingent upon award of a contract supporting the Department of Defense’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
