The successful candidate should possess a high school diploma (or equivalent) and an associate degree in dental or relevant field and have five years of experience working with CADCAM / EXOCAD software. In lieu of education, a minimum of 7-years of experience in the dental field, including 5-years CADCAM / EXOCAD software. This position will report to the Hybrid Department Manager.

Job Summary:

The Middle-level Dental Technician (CADCAM / EXOCAD Designer) will work under the supervision of the Hybrid Manager, primarily focusing full mouth rehabilitation and digital All-on-X procedures; designing and fabricating dental prosthetics using computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CADCAM / EXOCAD) software. This technician will be responsible for creating custom dental restorations that meet the dentist's specifications for the All-on-4 treatment concept. This position also requires an individual with advanced knowledge and skillsets in dental technology to work independently with little supervision. As a middle-level dental technician, you will be also responsible for fabricating high-quality dental restorations, assisting with training and mentoring entry-level technicians, and collaborating with other team members to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use CADCAM / EXOCAD software to design dental prosthetics, including full arch implant-supported bridges, based on digital scans of patient's teeth and gums for the All-on-4 treatment concept.
• Fabricate custom implant abutments and hybrid dentures that meet the necessary standards of fit, function, and aesthetics.
• Collaborate with other members of the dental team, including dentists and dental assistants, to ensure that all patient needs are met.
• Perform quality control checks on completed restorations to ensure that they meet the necessary standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, including cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment and machinery.
• Stay current with advancements in CADCAM and EXOCAD technology and software.
• Be able to effectively read dental RXs to design dental prosthetics.

General Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and machinery, including but not limited to 3D printers, milling machines, and scanners.
• Follow detailed instructions from senior dental technicians and dentists to ensure that all restorations are created to the proper specifications.
• Work collaboratively with other dental technicians to ensure timely completion of cases.
• Assist in the creation and repair of dental prosthetics, including but not limited to crowns, bridges, and dentures, using both traditional and digital fabrication techniques.
• Perform other duties as may be required or necessary.

Required Skills / Physical Demands:

• Advance knowledge of fabricating dental restorations, including all-on-4, hybrid, and bar overdentures using CAD/CAM technology and digital scanning systems.
• One to two years of experience using EXOCAD software to design dental prosthetics for the All-on-4 treatment concept.
• Familiarity with 3D printing, milling machines, and other CADCAM equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Physical demands may include sitting or standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, and good eyesight.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Ability to lead training sessions and assist with the professional development of junior dental technicians within the department.
• Advance proficiency in CAD/CAM software and digital scanning technology.
• Knowledge of dental anatomy, materials science, and occlusion.
• Ability to interpret and follow dental prescriptions and technical specifications.
• Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the fabrication process.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with dentists and other dental professionals.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to manipulate small dental materials and tools.
• To have an understanding of teeth setup, anatomy and morphology.
• Full mouth CAD restorative or Digital dentures design.
• All on X digital design and EXOCAD software knowledge is a plus.
• Chairside assisting experience is a plus.
• Design Or Finish All on X and full mouth cases.
• Troubleshoot All on X cases with clients and in-lab.
• Fast learning skills to stay up to date with the rapidly changing field.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to use fine motor skills to perform intricate procedures.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while performing detailed work.
• Good vision and depth perception to perform precise work.
• Ability to work with potentially hazardous materials, such as dental adhesives, acrylics, and metals.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to manipulate small dental materials and tools.

Education / Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Intermediate-level Dental Technician (CADCAM / EXOCAD Designer) position should possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 to 7-years' of experience in using CADCAM / EXOCAD software.
• Familiarity with 3D printing, milling machines, and other CADCAM equipment.
• Completion of a dental technician program or certification in dental technology is preferred.
• An associate degree in dental or relevant field and have five years of experience working with CADCAM / EXOCAD software.
• In lieu of education, a minimum of 7-years of experience in the dental field, including 5-years CADCAM / EXOCAD software.
