Job Title: General Mill Laborers

General Mill Laborers Pay Range: Starting at $18/hr

General Mill Laborers Schedule: Full Time, 5:30am start time

General Mill Laborers Start Date: ASAP

Selectemp is hiring General Mill Laborers in the Roseburg, OR area. In these roles you may be required to safely and accurately sort lumber by grade and length, maintain accurate accounts of all lumber processed at the package plant, and monitor the appearance of our lumber and packaging for neatness and uniformity. Successful candidates will be able stand and walk for long periods of time and be comfortable working in a high paced, physically demanding job. These roles are full-time, first shift positions. Jobs are available in Roseburg, Glendale, Riddle and Drain.

General Mill Laborers Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Strong basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide) is imperative

• Experience preferred but not required

• Knowledge of raw materials, lumber grade, length and prior sawmill green chain experience is a plus.

• Teamwork: Applicants need to be able to work well with others in a fast paced environment and be willing to help out where needed throughout the work shift.

• Coordination: Applicants need to have good hand-eye coordination and good balance skills while moving quickly along a cat walk.

• Learning Strategies: Applicants need to be willing to learn not only technique but they need to be willing to learn different product types and sizes to place accordingly.
