Overview


PepsiCo is looking for a Director of Marketing Transformation for its International Beverages HQ in Dublin. We are looking for somebody with strong experience in digital & omnichannel marketing, a forward-thinker that can push and challenge our thinking on marketing, well versed in new marketing areas (AR, VR, AI, WEB3 …), that is solid on collaboration, worked with influencers & celebrities, and, that has a flair and love for football.

About the Job: This is a key role within the International Beverages (IB) Marketing Transformation team, who are seeking to elevate PepsiCo’s beverage brands’ visibility globally, build world-class marketing capabilities and venture into future marketing spaces. Our ambition is to build culturally-famous iconic brands, necessary to accelerate growth and generate smiles with our consumers. Having robust, iconic brands is also a key component in the value proposition to our bottling partners.


Responsibilities
  • Build new strategic growth initiatives by developing digital (& omni-channel) strategies for our global brands focusing on media + content best practice in order to unlock creativity as a growth multiplier for IB
  • Inspire the IB marketing team with examples that have had impact, grabbed the attention (& break through enormous clutter), tell stories + connected to consumers in a meaningful way
  • Build processes to foster creativity, inspire bolder marketing, disrupt more, reward and celebrate creative excellence and give our marketers the tools to improve the work
  • Evolve agency model to build & foster a strong and honest 2-way relationship with our key agencies, so we get the best out of their capabilities, have them engaged and deliver on best-of-the-best creativity
  • Elevate thinking to be more omnichannel and digital-forward so our brands interact with consumers where they are in a more agile way, and build the necessary how-to playbooks that can be replicated with success by the brand teams.
  • Drive Personalisation @ Scale agenda within IB by building models for “data rich” markets while coming up with market-archetype based approaches for “data poor” markets.
  • Work with Insights Function to ensure we are integrating data at every step of the creative process; from insight minding (Change Compass), idea evaluation (Ada), and in-market performance tracking (ROIe).
The ideal candidate has a passion for marketing and capability building as well as the ability to work seamlessly across a matrix of partners, internal and external. Given the support this role has to the Pepsi and Gatorade teams, a passion for sports and football in particular is a must.


Qualifications
  • Strong integrated marketing experience of creating immersive, full funnel brand experiences utilising deep knowledge and understanding of both media landscape and real time data driven marketing to deliver enriching consumer journeys that drive commercial business impact
  • Collaborative as superpower - high capacity leadership to influence others, encourage teamwork, and build strong relationships. This role requires interacting with a significantly number of stakeholders across all levels of the business, often liaising with very senior people and gaining trust and credibility.
  • Excellent communication skills - engage and influence multiple stakeholders to build strong working relationships, with an aptitude to galvanize teams and get buy in from a matrix organisation
  • Innovative + creative strategist who is comfortable challenging status quo, brings creativity to problem-solving through the use of innovative frameworks and technological solutions
  • Experienced in managing large scale programs, various agencies, and working against shared goals and objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast moving and ever changing environment with maturity and foresight to cope with input and changes, sometimes at the last minute.
  • Expertise with media plan optimization and working with media partners to scale activations
  • Disruptive thinker and innovator. Ideal candidate continually challenges the conventional practises + status quo – bringing in new agencies, an outside-in POV + consumer centricity
  • Technically “aware” - this is not an IT role, but there is an aspect of the role designed to use technology to maximize comms plans during interactions, so candidates must have worked closely with the technological side of digital and e-commerce, web3, AR, AI…
  • Self-starting. Work independently, while understanding clear WOW and DICE in terms of Digital program development and cross functional processes
  • International marketing experience and the ability to understand the different media landscapes and dynamics in each of key operating territories is a plus
