Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyze Customer needs and determine the scope of the work needed.
• In advance of the maintenance trip, arrange to take parts, tools and other materials required to complete the maintenance job.
• At job site, organize the job sequence, arrange with the customer and the service shop for any major repairs that may be found during an inspection or maintenance job to minimize waiting, idle time and inefficiencies.
• Prepare service reports and obtain the customer’s signature
• Maintain company equipment.
• Communicate with manager and the customer to clarify instructions or discuss the scope or progress of a given project.
• Make recommendations to the customer and manager on additional repairs needed.
• Maintain good and ongoing customer relations
• Provide excellent customer service and customer experienced
• Assist the customer in making repairs and maintenance decisions
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge Requirements

• Hands on experience as a diesel and fleet technician,
• Navistar, Hino, Cummins or Isuzu experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate
• Diagnostic skill/experience & attention to detail.
• Knowledge in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
• Strong verbal and documentation skills.
• Strong character and work ethic.
• Dependable and responsible team player with a positive attitude.
• Must have a valid driver’s license. Commercial Driver’s License a bonus.
