Summary: Partners with business units to develop, implement and maintain MRO and Consumables category strategies for three industrial food manufacturing facilities and associated plant and corporate functional areas. Evaluates market conditions in order to maintain inventory levels and control costs. Evaluates and recommends vendors and manages ongoing relationships with suppliers. This is an Exempt position
Key Responsibilities:
- Executes supplier management strategies by monitoring KPIs, terms and conditions, and supplier contracts; leads contract negotiations, contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality, while working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develops and manages supplier relationships to optimize value to business.
- Holds supplier business review meetings and manages scorecards; collaborates and reports results to business and senior leadership.
- Interacts with suppliers and internal customers to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
- Monitors and analyzes commodity and market trends and overall economic conditions; reports substantial issues with plans for resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, purchasing, engineering, business, or related field; or, any equivalent combination of training, experience and education that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- 5 years’ procurement/sourcing experience, to include 2 years’ of indirect procurement and experience managing MRO and/or consumables; strong knowledge of MRO and consumables procurement/sourcing concepts and practices.
- Food manufacturing environment experience and CPP or CPPM certification preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, English written and oral communication skills; ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, maintain composure in stressful situations, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, and to work extended schedule during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November, requiring extra hours and weekend work.
Compensation:
The salary range is $99,387 - $124,233, based on experience and qualifications.
