Pacific West Land, LLC is seeking an experienced Multi-Family Portfolio Manager to join our highly accomplished firm. The ideal candidate will be a manager with experience directing third party property management groups. This position will work under the direction of the Asset Manager to evaluate and develop plans for workforce housing assets to increase value and ensure long term performance. This position will provide support to company Partners and the Asset Management team in acquisitions, budgeting, property management, reporting, and dispositions. Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Implementation and oversight of each property’s business plan and budget.
  • Analysis of property financials and performance metrics to maximize revenue and returns.
  • Oversight of outside property management firms and service providers to ensure optimal property performance.
  • Assist with property inspections as part of monitoring performance, management execution and capital needs.
  • Participate in the operational processes for new properties including hand-offs to property management, tracking compliance milestones, updating asset management data and management systems.
  • Collect market data, analyze trends, unit comparability, and compare operating costs for multifamily, affordable housing property industry.
  • Gathering tenant information and evaluating qualifications.
  • Generating leasing & compliance reports.
  • Researching and interpreting market data to determine fair market rental rate.
  • Assisting in special projects as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience with workforce multifamily housing, including inspections, code enforcement and budgeting
  • Ability to communicate effectively, establish and maintain tenant relationships, and have excellent follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to engage a wide variety of people with a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and good humor, including culturally, socially, and economically diverse populations, seniors, persons with disabilities, contractors, and colleagues.
  • Must be highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Solid general computer skills (Word, Excel and other MS Office products), the ability to translate data into spreadsheets and reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field. Directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
