Certified Crane Operator
Certified Crane Operator is a skilled position in the construction, maintenance, and repair of utility scale Power systems.
We pay Per Diem of $100/day for those who qualify in addition to the hourly rate.
Location = all over the USA
We are looking for a crane operator to operate an 70 ton RT swing cab crane onsite. Operator is required to have NCCCO certs that are up to date.
Essential Functions:
- Work safely while performing new construction
- Maintains company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
- Does all other related work as required to complete the job.
- Inspects the crane
- Inspects cribbing and outriggers.
- Drives and operates the cranes safely.
- Oversees the set up of the crane.
- Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of power collection facilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
- Must possess a (current and valid) crane certified operator’s card - NCCCO
- Must possess a DOT certification.
- Reads load charts and rigging.
- Knows correct rigging techniques.
- Must be willing to learn all aspects of linework.
- Must be competent in writing up lift plans.
- 3-5 years experience required.
- 5-10 years of experience preferred.
- Must be able to travel on short notices, including staying out of town when required.
- Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.
- Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
- When not operating the crane must assist Foreman and crew with operating other types of Heavy Equipment such as Telehandler, Skid Steer, Mini-Ex, etc..
- Set transformers on pads
Able to frequently use hand tools: wrenches, hammer screw drivers Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather. Must be able to work or be exposed to oil, grease, dirt, mud, dust, diesel fuel and fumes on a daily basis. Must be able to work or be exposed to poison ivy, oak ticks, etc on a seasonal basis. Willing to work over-time when requested.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
