What you’ll be doing...

Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Network systems to ensure system availability and functionality. Evaluates the Network's activity to identify where it is not functioning optimally which can range from equipment to network issues. Responds to alarms and trouble tickets, Reporting, troubleshooting issues, or escalating to the appropriate engineering teams. Product development and implementation.

  • Monitoring the network through various tools and processes to identify issues either with the network or the equipment supporting the systems. This includes tracking alarms and trouble tickets through completion.
  • Troubleshooting issues that arise in the network by either resolving them or bringing them to the attention of the appropriate teams. This involves addressing trouble tickets submitted by customers.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to determine how best to address concerns that arise in the network, ranging from repairing equipment, creating new processes, or processing changes to the network.
  • Developing and running reports on the status of the network, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Developing processes and tools for monitoring and automating the network, determining which activities should be identified and prioritized to reduce the impact to customers.
  • Implementing the Standards, processes and tools for monitoring and resolving issues in the network.
  • Leading the Troubleshooting of issues that arise in the network by either resolving them or bringing them to the attention of the appropriate teams. This involves addressing trouble tickets submitted by customers

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.


What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate's degree or two or more years of work experience
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of LTE networks and 1X to 5G technologies.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Cloud and Virtualized solutions (OpenStack/VMWare).
  • Knowledge of network performance optimization and management.
  • Knowledge of network incident management.
  • Experience scripting with Python or equivalent languages.
  • Knowledge of all major cellular switching, sub-systems, data networks, and power systems.
  • Working knowledge of basic telephony and network architecture.
  • Working knowledge of switching fundamentals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adjust to priority changes.
  • Commitment to quality and the motivation and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and/or platforms: Advanced voice switch/cell infrastructure experience including Alcatel Lucent, Motorola, Nortel, and Ericsson.
  • Experience in Data elements including Routers (Regional Agg., E911, EDN, WDN, IPBH), switches (EDN, IPBH,) MLS, PDSN, ATM network.
  • Experience in Digital communications including DS1, DS3, Fiber, and Microwave.
  • Experience in Operating systems including UNIX and Windows.
  • Experience in Computer support including PC hardware and configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Power including Galaxy, Lorain, DC distribution systems, and troubleshooting.
