Position: Senior Network (Email) Security Engineer
Location: Dublin, CA (Hybrid) 1 day a week onsite
Duration: Direct Hire/Full Time

Notes:

Need experience with:

Defending against attacks as well as the normal security and system upgrades.

Knowing the systems (Proofpoint and Palo Alto) inside out.

Should be resourceful and understand the architect/design well enough to quickly provide solutions.
Need to extensive experience with (hands on) security architecture with Proofpoint and Palo Alto Networks.

Should be:

A Visionaire, implementation specialist, and have recent (hands on) with support as well as design experience (more a front-end engineer so design and architecture).

Able to talk to C-level executives and have the depth of knowledge to be able to influence and architect solutions from end to end.

Job Description:

The Network Security Engineer IV is a big picture thinker that:

Has attention to technical details.

Is responsible for envisioning solutions.

Has extensive experience defining architecture and then taking steps to implement security improvements to protect Ross' information/assets.

Leads initiatives to harden Ross's network security posture and capabilities from concept through delivery, define and follow discreet procedures and protocols to ensure integrity and compliance.

Leads the product area strategy, roadmap, design, and vendor/product due-diligence functions.

Serves as a liaison to the other Information Security and IT functional groups, influencing outcomes as appropriate.

Operates as the Network Security Subject Matter Expert (SME), provides 3rd level support and excels at production issue resolution.

Security: Email (Proofpoint - Primary), Network (secondary): Palo Alto Networks

Need to have more than just configuration experience, need to know the Architecture.

SME Security Email

Leadership experience and build relationships with the organization. Consulting experience would be huge (big 4).

Industry: customer side NOT the vendor side.

Retail, supply chain is a bonus but doesn’t matter.

Certifications: CISSP (would love this), but the depth of knowledge they would consider.

Salary: $200,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
