Network Technician
CMIT Solutions is a Managed Service Provider that supports small and medium-sized businesses by managing their IT infrastructure and security. We help clients with every aspect of technology from network design and maintenance, to Help Desk support, procurement, compliance support and technology consulting.
We are seeking a Network Technician to manage and maintain the IT networks of our clients. An ideal candidate will be able to manage networks, troubleshoot and resolve issues and complete projects. We are seeking a candidate with a high degree of professionalism and drive, who is focused on excellence and customer service. The Network Technician will be an integral part of our local team while also collaborating with a national group of CMIT technicians across the country.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide timely remote and on-site technical support to our clients
- Diagnose, research and troubleshoot computer system issues, including operating systems, hardware and software, networking, VPN, connectivity, server and more
- Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, servers, virtual machines, network devices, VOIP products, backup systems, and miscellaneous devices
- Manage IT projects throughout the project lifecycle including scope, goals, and deliverables
- Respond promptly and professionally to alerts and end-user IT issues
- Function as primary point of contact and communication with customers from assignment of ticket to successful resolution of issue, including scheduling work and keeping customer aware of work status and solution progress.
- Document and update inventory of all IT equipment (desktops/laptops, servers, printers, networking equipment) of our clients
- Assist in onboarding new clients and documenting infrastructure
- Work remotely, in office, and on-site at client facilities to provide exceptional support
Qualifications:
· Associate or Bachelor’s degree or technical certification preferred
· 5+ years of IT-related technical experience. Managed Services Provider experience a plus
· Experience successfully managing projects on scope and budget
· Experience troubleshooting issues with PC and Mac workstations and server applications/operating systems
· Experience working with Servers, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches
· Help Desk ticketing system experience preferred
· Experience with Office 365 and G-Suite administration
· Must be very organized, detail-oriented and have professional verbal and written communication skills
· Self-motivated, dependable and passionate about technology
· Enthusiasm for working in a team environment and a desire to help our clients grow their businesses by serving their IT needs
