Job Summary/Description:

WOWT is seeking a Co-anchor 2.5 hour morning newscast Monday – Friday, 4:30am – 7am. Produce and anchor Midday newscast, three or more days a week. Report/produce packages for 10pm newscast as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Anchoring newscast
• Writing
• Producing
• Editing
• Posting stories on the web
• Posting content to station social media platforms
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Communications is preferred
• 3 years prior experience as a broadcast news anchor
• Must have solid people skills and be able to function in a “team” environment when working with reporters and producers
• Ability to operate under constant deadline pressure
• Strong computer and graphics skills
• Strong writing skills and ability to write accurately and creatively under constant deadline pressure
