The Hodson Bay Hotel is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Night Porter. The person will support the Nights Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the Night shift between the hours of 11pm & 8am.

Main Duties:

• To assist with the Night Audit using the Micros/Opera Reservations system - (Cash Balancing, Printing of Revenue Report, Posting of Room Charges)
• To complete conference room set up's
• To ensure the key areas of the Hotel are manned and are operating smoothly throughout the duration of the Night Shift
• To supervise all areas of the Hotel during the above hours
• To oversee the duties of Nightporters
• To deal with any queries, complaints or problems that arise during the Night Shift
• To provide a Check in/ Check out service to all guests at Reception
• To perform regular security & fire checks and carry out Fire and Accident drills
• To attend department meetings when scheduled
• To ensure that reasonable care is taken for Health & Safety of yourself, other employees and guest

Requirements:

• Fluent level of spoken & written English
• Proven experience of working as part of a nights team
• Excellent customer service & interpersonal skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Capacity for flexibility, change & innovation
• Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable

Experience:

• Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
