Sign-on bonus: $2,000 bonus ($1K after 3 months, $1K after 6 months of employment)

Position: Non-CDL Recycling Driver
Location: Minneapolis, St. Paul MN – LOCAL only driving!
Salary: $23.50/hour. Scheduled salary increases per union contract

Overview: Eureka Recycling is currently hiring a Non- CDL Driver to safely and efficiently drive a collections truck, pick up materials from locations across the Twin Cities, and deliver to Eureka facility or other sites.

Responsibilities of the Non-CDL Recycling Driver:

• Safely operate a side-load and/or rear-load commercial straight truck 20,000 lbs. or less to collect recyclable materials manually, semi-automated, or fully automated

• Appropriately communicate with residents in person and/or by providing informational materials regarding recyclable materials
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and record results on Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs) to ensure that the vehicle is in safe operating condition
• Adhere to all safety, reporting, and security processes and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications for the Non-CDL Recycling Driver:

• Minimum age of 21 with a valid Class D driver's license
• Meet standards (driving record and background check) for operating a commercial vehicle as established by the employer and by employer’s insurance company for coverage
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment medical exams, valid physical capacity tests, and pre-employment mandatory drug testing. Subject to all DOT requirements.
• One year of recent experience on a full-time basis, or equivalent, driving.

Minimum Physical Requirements for the Non-CDL Recycling Driver:

• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, be regularly exposed to conditions typical of operating commercial vehicle which transports recyclable materials.
• Ability to walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) repeatedly for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Physically capable of frequently and repeatedly performing the following physical movements: climb in and out of truck; bend at the waist and at the knees; reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally; push and pull; twist and turn.
• Manipulate control foot pedals on equipment while sitting and standing
