Nurse Recruiter

The nurse recruiter is responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and hiring qualified nursing candidates for TCMH. This individual will use their knowledge of the nursing field and TCMH’s needs to identify the best candidates and bring them on board.
Responsibilities:
- Source potential nursing candidates through job fairs, online job boards, and networking events
- Conduct initial interviews with candidates to assess their qualifications and fit for TCMH
- Conduct stay and exit interviews with nurses to assess their needs and concerns
- Collaborate with nurse managers to determine the specific needs of each nursing role and develop recruitment strategies accordingly
- Review resumes and application materials to identify the most qualified candidates
- Facilitate the offer and negotiation process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for the candidate
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of the recruitment process
- Develop and maintain relationships with nursing schools and professional organizations to stay up-to-date on industry trends and recruitment opportunities
- The nurse recruiter will be an integral member of the nurse manager and public relations team. They will play a key role in ensuring that TCMH has the skilled nursing staff it needs to provide the best possible care to its patients.
- The nurse recruiter will also be responsible for coordinating the onboarding process for new nursing hires, including scheduling orientation and training sessions. They will work closely with the nursing leadership team to ensure that new nurses are adequately supported and integrated into TCMH’s operations.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in nursing, recruiting, and staffing.
Licensure, Registration, Certification: Current Missouri licences.
Mental/Physical Requirements: (may be met with or without reasonable accommodations): Considerable mental concentration on variable projects. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, turning carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching are required. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. from floor and from overhead, 40 lbs. from waist height and be able to handle, move or transfer articles of 100 lbs. regularly and over 100 lbs. periodically; in concert with other employees/person(s) and/or lifting device; exercise good body mechanics in execution of essential duties, including appropriate back and neck posture.
Skills: Knowledge of the nursing field and current trends. Working knowledge of the laws and regulations governing patient care and hospital operations. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required. General knowledge of computers for spreadsheet computations and word processing. Strong financial management and public relations skills necessary. Ability to work in multidisciplinary setting. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of social media.
Working Conditions: During the course of work, incumbents may come in contact with infectious organisms and other potentially hazardous substances.

- Adolescent (13-20 years): the adolescent must develop his/her own identity.
- Young adult (21-43 years): The young adult must develop close relationships.
- Middle adult (44-65 years): The middle adult must develop a sense of community and assume responsibility for others.
- Older adult (65 years and older): The older adult must come to understand the meaning of his/her life in terms of what has been accomplished.
