Job Responsibilities of Occupational Therapist:
- Evaluates and ensures patients’ plan of care.
- Oversees occupational therapy assistants providing guidance, discussing progress, and monitoring clinical interventions/skills.
- Provides skilled services and interventions using various techniques needed to achieve patients’ goals.
- Follows all regulations and guidelines of the facility including compliance with confidentiality and HIPPA.
- Adheres to discussed scheduled hours.
- Provides skilled documentation of patient’s condition, and provides caregiver/patient education, progress, and need for services.
- Ensures safe treatment practices and monitors patients’ engagement and responses to treatment modifies as necessary.
Requirements for Occupational Therapist:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license
- Graduated from accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Experience with rehab optimal and skilled nursing facilities preferred
