We are Southern Lighting Services, Inc., a multi-state electrical contractor who has been servicing a multitude of commercial and industiral customers for 30 years.
We are in search of an individual with excellent organizational and communication skills. Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing quotes and estimates for customers, facilitating appointments and meetings, filing, and schedule management. Must be able to manage multiple assignments, work proactively with team members and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience preferred, but not required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and adapt easily to software programs.
QuickBooks experience a plus.

- Data input and retrieval
- Corresponding with consumers, vendors, visitors, and other staff (written and verbal)
- Making copies, filing and other ad hoc assignments.
4-year degree preferred
The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced Office Assistant with a strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The successful candidate will assist in managing the day-to-day tasks of the office, including but not limited to: creating and distributing reports, handling scheduling and travel arrangements, editing documents and assisting with website updates. The Office Assistant will work collaboratively with the higher-ups at the company to ensure that deadlines are met and that work standards are maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and answer phones.
- Answer and direct calls.
- Perform general clerical tasks.
- File papers and documents.
- Take notes.
- Type and format documents.
- E-mail documents to recipients.
- Organize and maintain files using file management software.
- Print documents from a computer with a printer connected to the computer.
- Provide information to callers or visitors.
- Handle incoming mail.
- Ensure that bills are paid on time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
