The WI Department of Transportation (WisDOT), Division of Transportation System Development (DTSD) is seeking an interested and qualified individual to fill an Office Coordinator (Operations Program Associate) vacancy in the North Central Region!
This full-time position is headquartered in Rhinelander.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing complex administrative program support to the North Central Region. This position will provide administrative program support in the region responsible for answering incoming front desk calls and providing program support for the Rhinelander office.
This position is considered an administrative subject matter expert for complex office management activities and is responsible for tracking information related to administrative services to provide management with reviews and proposed processes in specific program areas to gain efficiencies. This requires considerable amount of judgement and thorough knowledge and application of department, division, and region policies and procedures, as well as excellent interpersonal communication skills. The position will assist in the coordination of the region program, safety program, fleet, and facilities management.
Salary Information
This position is in schedule-range (02-11) with an hourly rate of $20.46 ($42,556.80), plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
Job Details
WisDOT does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.

Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. For permanent positions that allow remote work flexibility, Wisconsin residency is not required. However, it is not anticipated that working outside of Wisconsin (or bordering cities) will be allowed because positions may at times need to report to office locations in Wisconsin on short notice.

Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have experience with all the following:
- Experience assisting internal and external customers and/or partners with inquiries utilizing the phone, email, letters, or comparable.
- Experience composing and editing documents.
- Documents may include meeting agendas, meeting minutes, memos, reports, document templates, business letters, newsletters, etc.
- Experience utilizing computer programs.
- Programs may include Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.
