We are seeking a reliable team member with a positive attitude for a full-time Operating Room Aide position in our Operating Room.
Due to the public health crisis and in an effort to protect our patients and our fellow workers, SWRSC has made the decision that all employees who work in direct and indirect patient care must be vaccinated against Covid-19.

What You Will Do:
- Assist in tasks involving maintenance of the operating room. The primary focus is to help with set-up and efficient turnover of the operating rooms and caring for the instruments and equipment to be used during the surgical procedure.
- Put out clean mops for the operating rooms based on the amount of turnovers, per room
- Helps rooms gather equipment
- Help open supplies and instruments for case
- Check instrument pan filters
- Ties up scrub personnel, PA’s and physicians, as needed
- Takes garbage and linen to “Trash Room”, after operative case is completed
- Exchanges sharps containers when ¾ full
- Remove water from floor by scrub sinks
- Change trash bags at scrub sink, as needed
- Helps transfer patients onto & off of positioning equipment in the OR
- Help change over rooms, focusing on heavier rooms, ie. Shoulder arthroscopies, Neurosurgery cases, Endoscopic ACL’s, etc.
What You Will Need:
- 1 year experience in hospital/healthcare environment preferred.
- Previous experience with sterile/aseptic techniques preferred.
- Ability to simultaneously handle competing priorities.
- Familiarity with operating room protocols desired.
- Strong organizational skills as well as attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to stand and walk 80% of time.
- Able to push and pull equipment in the operating room.
**Must be able to pass a drug screen, this includes marijuana**
