Planned Parenthood Pasadena & San Gabriel Valley (PPPSGV) has been proudly serving our community since 1933 and is one of the original Planned Parenthood affiliates in the nation.
We provide reproductive health care, health education and advocacy from our five health centers in
Alhambra, Baldwin Park, Glendora, Highland Park, and Pasadena, in addition to our telehealth clinic. We strive to ensure
the sexual and reproductive health services we provide align with the needs of the communities we serve. Our service area extends from Glendora to Glendale and from
the San Gabriel mountains to the San Bernardino freeway, home to 24 communities and a diverse population of 1.4 million people.
Today, PPPSGV sees over 60,000 patient visits per year and delivers over 15,000 opportunities for sex and relationship education in our schools and colleges.
We offer safe and legal abortions. We are committed to providing accurate, non-judgmental care and resources by helping our patients overcome financial, transportation, and other barriers to care. In addition, we work with abortion funds and practical support network to support our patients. Our abortion care has increased every year since 2018 with an average of 3,500 abortions per year. We saw close to 4,000 abortion patients in 2022 alone, approximately 59 were out-of-state patients.
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the operational tasks that are required to run the health center day to day.
In this position, you will change lives as you:
- Maintain strong relationship with health center manager by having routine in person check ins and regular email communication
- Support the health center manager in leadership responsibilities, including the coordination of bi weekly leadership meetings
- Participate in health center/affiliate efforts to achieve established revenue goals
- Comply with PPPSGV’s Code of Conduct and maintain the highest level of professional and ethical standards and to act in compliance with both the letter and spirit of all applicable laws and regulations
- Demonstrates and maintains a high degree of professionalism
- Models and embodies the Planned Parenthood Experience (PPX) service standards and values to maintain a culture of exceptional health center experience for patients and staff. Contribute to and maintain Team Centered Patient Care (TCPC) health center culture to support staff engagement and workflow efficiency
- Support PFC in workflow efficiency and best practices by jumping in at the front desk or back office flow as needed
- Values continuous learning and seeks ongoing training and development
- Demonstrates and models cultural competency and diversity awareness
- Commitment to the goals and mission of PPPSGV
- Build and maintain monthly staffing schedules
- Serve as the back-up PFC
- Maintain, track and resolve facilities issues
- Serve as the point of contact for IT issues
- Ensure the AIMS reports are completed as necessary
- Assist in new employee training regarding policies and procedures and ensure all required training documents are sent to PS training team and HR
- Prepare logistics for monthly site meeting agenda, including physical space and required resources
- Manage and track monthly checklists
- Manage and order office supplies
- Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment
- Manage and track that monthly controls are run
- Track daily PPE use and inventory and inventory reporting
- Assist in the planning of monthly special events and staff engagement activities
- Coordinate bi-weekly Pasadena leadership meetings
- Responsible for maintaining a process for ordering medical supplies, office supplies and forms
- Responsible for keeping a quarterly process for form maintenance and ensuring there are no old forms in use
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Education:
- High School with MA Certificate
Experience:- Work in a health care setting for one year or more
$23 - $27 an hour
The hiring rate for this position is: $23- $27/hour + Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Matching Program, Premium CALM account, holidays, paid time off and more!
