Operations Coordinator

NewPort Tank Containers (USA) LLC is looking to add talent to its Food Group in Naperville, IL. NewPort Tank Containers is a leading, global tank container operator.

In this role the Operations Coordinator is responsible for the efficient oversight of the import/export sailing and documentation aspect of the shipment. This role will assist with building a professional customer relationship by providing effective follow up and superior customer service.

This position will oversee the following:

• Manage export ocean shipment / truck carriers
• Arrange import deliveries (truck / rail pickups)
• Determine best mode of transportation
• Prepare documents related to cargo shipping and monitoring of export bookings with ocean carriers (including haz dec & rail pickups)
• Responsible for tracking and tracing all export shipments
• Update sailing information within NILS and release all pertinent documents to destination
• Arrange food grade cleaning procedure, tank assignment, and handling order
• Manage invoices in OnBase
• Awareness of international regulations and documentation requirements in order to process shipment
• Engage in general industry conversations with customers and overseas offices
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
• Focus on 3-4 major export accounts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
