Job description

We are hiring immediately for an Operations Manager with experience in managing fleet logistics for a large waste pickup operation. Will have to manage over 100 hourly employees and 5+ salaried supervisors. This position is in Salinas, CA.

A relocation package is available if needed.

Compensation:

• $110,000 - $115,000 + 20% annual performance bonus

Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience in a management or supervisory role
• 4 year degree(environmental science, engineering, or business) preferred
• Experience in route management
• Understand running a business (P&L, team empowerment, short and long term planning)
• Experience working at any of the following or similar businesses is a major plus (UPS, DHL, Amazon, Enterprise, XPO Logistics, Waste Industry, Railroad/Freight, Military)

• Managing staff - hiring, training, coaching
• Develop and implement operations plan
• Ensure maximum productivity from various routes
• Interact with customers and government employees
• Maintain regulatory compliance
• Oversee safe work envrionment
• Manage budget
