As a Operations Specialist you will connect the world through technology and innovation. You will work with trucking company owners, dispatchers and drivers to coordinate customer shipments, solve supply chain hang-ups, and learn the industry’s best practices for running efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Document customer service requirements and expectations.
• Ensure complete and accurate customer order acceptance and entry into our dispatch system.
• Receives order requirements and specifications from customers and identifies available options and alternatives to achieve desired results.
• Develop a knowledge and understanding of customers' orders and intermodal transportation requirements.
• Provides regular status reports of shipments in progress to customers as needed or required.
• Identifies delays, such as equipment shortages, demurrage/storage costs, damage, or other complications associated with shipments as they arise and enacts contingency plans and/or implements corrective actions as necessary.
• Resolves matters regarding equipment requirements with the load planners that may impact delivery schedules.
• Informs customers of freight delays and loads sustaining overages, shortages, and damage.
• Determine which accessorial charges can be billed and effectively communicate all charges to the customer contacts.
• Provide timely escalation of issues to management.
• Complies with all company rules, policies, and procedures. Works and behaves safely by following all safety rules and regulations.
• Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Strong interpersonal and demonstrated verbal and typing skills, including excellent telephone skills.
• Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
• Must be able to work with your team and independently.
• Must work well with others outside the company, including vendors, suppliers, and internal/external customers and steamship lines to achieve common goals.
• Ability to pursue & develop solid working knowledge of intermodal transportation industry.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing customer requests and requirements.
• Must possess a working knowledge of MS Office programs or other comparable computer software programs.
• Must consistently demonstrate professional and pleasant behavior and effectivelycommunicate in stressful situations and/or environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.90 - $24.00 per hour
