About Additive Manufacturing Technologies (AMT)
Our headquarters are in Sheffield, UK with our wholly owned manufacturing subsidiary in Veszprém, Hungary. Our NAHQ are in Austin, Texas, to serve our US centric customer base and the largest 3D Printing market globally.
The expansion into the US builds on the close working relationship we have developed with US customers that are descaling their business operations with our technologies. They have assisted in significant machine testing, development, and marketing opportunities in the US.
About Our Business
AMT provides the missing link within the 3D printing and additive manufacturing process-chain, through the development and commercial delivery of digitally connected and automated processes post-build. AMT designs and manufactures dedicated and customized automated Industry 4.0 hardware solutions. The AMT technology portfolio is developed at the intersection of material science, chemistry, hardware engineering, robotics, and machine learning.
Current off-the-shelf commercial hardware from AMT include the PostPro SF, PostPro DP, and PostPro DMS. These systems all incorporate our surface finishing solutions and automated and sustainable post-processing technologies, capable of matching injection quality for polymer 3D printed parts.
AMT also works in partnership with clients to develop bespoke fully automated 3DP process chain solutions, incorporating unpacking, depowdering, smoothing, coloring, and inspection operations — a fully integrated Digital Manufacturing System.
The PostPro SF® technology is an automated turnkey solution which can be easily integrated into the digital workflow and eliminates the extensive and expensive manual post-processing steps required for many 3D printed parts. Using a series of pre-defined parameter sets and algorithms PostPro SF® achieves a surface finish on 3D printed parts that matches injection molding techniques in terms of quality and efficiency. The typical process time is 90-120 minutes with parts ready for end use application once removed from the machine without any additional process steps.
Although AMT’s PostProSF technology is differentiated through full automation, it still competes directly with other forms of traditional post-processing technology for smoothing and coloring operations. However, for AMT, the PostPro SF is only the first step in the evolution of the Digital Manufacturing System (DMS).
Technology
AMT develops hardware technology that unlocks the potential of industrial additive manufacturing and 3D printing through fully integrated and automated digital solutions across the process chain. AMT’s first commercial offering — PostProSF — is focused on a fully automated and sustainable post-processing solution for high volume, production 3D printed polymer parts.
The PostProSF system is a cost-effective, safe, sustainable, automated, and speedy post-processing unit for polymer 3D printed parts based on AMT’s proprietary Smoothing Technology process.
The PostProDP is a portfolio of depowdering, cleaning, and surfacing solutions tailored to suit the needs of manufacturing operations of all sizes.
Strategy and Markets
AMT has a multi-pronged strategic approach for uptake and adoption through collaboration within the AM sector (3DP hardware vendors / materials companies) and through working directly with OEMs in numerous industrial sectors that have seen a consistent uptake in 3D printing and AM for medium to high volume production applications.
This includes but is not limited to: Aerospace, automotive, medical, consumer products (specifically eyewear and footwear) as well as specialist engineering and defense applications.
