CorTech International, LLC is seeking Operator 1, Operator level 1 in Other Production for a Medical Supply Company in Sparks, MD. This a temp to hire position with an Essential Client. Our client’s goal is to convert every contingent employee to an internal employee!!

Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am
Pay: $16.45/hr.

Overview:
Provides support with production equipment and other production supplies as needed. Disassembles used or faulty equipment and cleans each component of the unit thoroughly, reassembles each component, wraps, and codes all according to associated procedures. Responsible for rotating dated equipment and raw materials following established procedure. Responsible for general facility housekeeping and cleaning duties to include but not limited to disposal of empty raw material containers, TOTE BIN cleaning and floor/stairwell cleaning per department IMW and GMP requirements appropriate inventory.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
o Disassembles used or faulty equipment and cleans each component of the unit thoroughly, reassembles each component, wraps and codes all according to IMWs.
o Responsible for rotating dated equipment and raw materials following established procedure.
o Clean, sanitize and inspect the production tote bins per established IMW approved procedures.
o Responsible for assuring cleaning equipment is maintained in good working conditions
o Responsible for monitoring and maintaining adequate cleaning supplies.
o Responsible for assuring the safe and efficient operation of all cleaning
equipment including the Floor Scrubber and TOTE BIN wash and dry rooms according to all BD and DCM safety/housekeeping policies and procedures.
o Responsible for all eye wash safety inspections and the documentation of same per department procedure.
o Works with supervision, engineering and/or maintenance personnel to develop process improvements and equipment improvements.
o Supports the Equipment Processing team by identifying any team training needs and facilitates the resulting training with supervision as applicable.
o Maintains a neat, organized and clean work area.
o Works with and coordinates with other shifts to maintain sufficient and correct amount of sterilized equipment and proper condition of work area.
o May perform clean up functions in sterilized areas
o Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
o Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures
o Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures
o Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements
o Perform other duties as required

IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
o High school degree with 1 year manufacturing or warehouse experience strongly preferred
o Being able to work independently and demonstrate effective time management required
o Can effectively work in a team setting and communicate effectively across the department
o Strong attention to detail
o Ability to be punctual in order to ensure production
o Ability to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature with the skill to recognize any deviations from specification
o Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
o Ability to operate material handling equipment including manual and electrical pallet jacks and walkie-stacker lift
o Ability to operate automated floor scrubber
o Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
o Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of a Windows environment is required
o Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs 50% to 95% of the workday.
o Must be capable of passing the physical examination for forklift operations and respirator fit test.
o Routine use of Safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, respirators, and hearing protection may be required. Must be used if required.
