Job description
- Obtains patient histories (chief complaint; present history; family history; history of allergies and medications)
- Performs accurate ophthalmic procedures and testing (auto-refraction; visual acuity; measure and record glasses; tonometry; pupils; dilate; HRT; VF; pachymeter; corneal topography; OCT; B-scan; keratometry; confrontation fields; administering eye drops or ointments)
- Maintains patient room and inventory of all patient care supplies (bulbs, film, VF paper)
- Communicates with flow coordinator to facilitate proper patient flow
- EMR administration and documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient with Windows-based applications
