The Work You Will Do:

The OPS Government Operations Consultant III is a member of the Data Reporting Unit within the Division of Workforce Services, Bureau of One-Stop and Program Support. This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of performance dashboards. This position will be responsible for the administration of the Employ Florida application. The incumbent will coordinate with Department staff to provide information and reports to other government agencies and administrative entities.

Systematic, on-going monitoring and oversight plays a critical role in meeting DEO’s vision by ensuring a return on investment, system and program accountability, and continuous improvement through monitoring of the state’s workforce programs. You will play a critical role in ensuring program outcomes and standards meet the objectives of federal and state law while improving on the way we do business through both onsite and remote monitoring. You will also assist in helping Floridians obtain needed resources to become self-sufficient in an effective and efficient manner by ensuring local board processes and procedures comport with applicable federal and state law.

Pay: $30.00/hour


Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain dashboards that capture performance outcomes of Workforce programs.
  • Create, manage, and update administrative accounts in the Employ Florida application.
  • Review, approve, and respond to service requests submitted to the Online Project Communication system.
  • Assists in the formulation and implementation of federal and state mandated changes, enhancements and refinements to workforce program reporting systems.
  • Reviews policies, procedures, guidelines, state, and local plans, and evaluates the impact on program operations. Also identifies potential problems and recommend appropriate action.
  • Participate in Data Validation procedures.
  • Requests, gathers, and assembles information for trainings and technical assistance.
  • Create queries and manage relational databases.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Oracle SQL, Tools for Oracle Application Developer's (TOAD), Relational Databases such as FoxPro or dBase, report writing software such as R&R Report Writer, Crystal Reports.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in individual and group settings, both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of the following software: Arc GIS, In Design, and MSSQL.

Qualifications:
