Position: Fiber Construction Manager

Location: 4545 E River Rd Suite 320, West Henrietta, NY 14586

Duration: 12 Months Contract Initially

JOB DESCRIPTION

• 3 skills/knowledge the candidate must have to be considered for the role: OSP Fiber Construction Aerial and Underground. Small Cell construction. Vendor management.
• Position requires experience with outside plant and inside plant cable construction in aerial and underground facilities, with a thorough knowledge of all issues related to local and state permitting, pole and conduit licensing procedures from Utilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Directly advise and influence decisions of direct and upstream management and Project Managers in all aspects of Fiber and Small Cell construction work.
• Create bill of materials (BOM) and validate gaps during site walks in order to properly drive successful material procurement.
• Make regular trips to sites during construction including: bid walk, precon walk, in progress site visits, and construction closeout. Provide direction to general contractors aligned to job specifications.
• Order and manage equipment and material for your project
• Understand prevailing rates for all construction work and ensure Crown Castle is receiving competitive rates for quality work.
• Ensure Team Management, Project Managers, and customers are aware of issues that will impact project completion or cost.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49.80 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Fiber Construction: 3 years (Required)
• Small Cell construction: 2 years (Required)
• Vendor management: 2 years (Required)
