At our Primrose location in Broadview Heights we have CUSTOMIZED an exciting and engaging summer camp experience for the children in our community that includes off-site field trips, indoor learning activities and organized outdoor games.

We are seeking to hire our last of three summer camp team members to join our team of TWO existing summer camp employees. Our summer camp team will have 5 teachers total for 36 students and we have 5 mangers to help you execute one of the best summer camp experiences in Northern Ohio!! Each child enrolled in our summer camp will attend two offsite field trips per week in addition to pre-planned, fun daily activates. Some field trips that the children will look forward to this year are the Great Lakes Science Center, Cleveland Guardians Stadium Tour, Majestic Meadows Llama Farm, Sky Zone, Movies and the Cleveland Zoo and a Indians just to name a few. This is an EXCELLENT opportunity for college students on summer break or for teachers that are off for the summer! We provide all classroom supplies, activity planning time and a completed field trip schedule. Primary Responsibilities:

• Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily group functions of a group of children (4 teachers for a group of 30 children)
• Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Broadview Heights and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
• Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
• Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
• Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
• Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of Broadview Heights Employee Handbook
• Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary.

Desired skills and experience:

• Must have an outgoing personality, be creative and have boundless energy
• Excellent communication skills and ability to speak professionally with parents
• Previous experience at a elementary school, licensed summer camp or center/daycare school age program
• Specific experience with children aged Kindergarten through 4th grade.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of school age children
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
• Valid Ohio Drivers License and comfortable driving a 14 passenger van (with a co-teacher) AS A BACK-UP DRIVER - Primary drivers are already set
• Degree or working towards a Degree; preferably in Early Childhood Education or Child Development-related field
• Knowledgeable in elementary-aged curriculum
