Outside Sales Representative
Signarama in Southborough, MA is under new ownership and growing! We are hiring a full-time Outside Sales Representative to join our team. Experience in signs, visual design, branding, marketing, and/or general B2B sales preferred, but not required!
You will train alongside our existing Outside Sales lead, learning our vast array of product offerings. You’ll be visible within the local community, amongst business owners and consumers, to market our services. This is a full-time salaried position plus commission. Responsibilities:
- Actively and aggressively prospect and outreach for new business opportunities using a variety of tactics – from email marketing, in-person visits, cold calls
- Respond to some inquiries via phone or website
- Prepare and deliver estimates in a timely fashion.
- Follow up on all leads and close sales, reaching or exceeding assigned monthly sales goals
- Travel to different locations within a 50-mile radius to perform site surveys and speak with prospects
- Learn the ins-and-outs of all types of signage, materials construction, and design to guide prospects to the best sign solution – from illuminated and non-illuminated interior and exterior signs, ADA, dimensional logos, wall coverings, vehicle lettering and wraps, and much more.
- Build relationships with businesses and local/state officials responsible for sign regulations and governance. Represent Signarama and our clients at town meetings for permitting.
- Input prospects/estimates/orders into proprietary CRM and production systems requiring significant attention to detail and oversight to ensure correct product is fabricated to specs as well as appropriate pricing and margins for all jobs as directed by the owners.
- Act as Account Manager for assigned jobs, maintaining good communication with the customer and within the shop throughout the pre-sale and post-sale process from design mockups to production to installation
- Effectively work with clients to capture outstanding Accounts Receivable pre and post job completion.
- Be a visible member of our community, representing our brand and company at trade shows, local Chamber.
Qualifications:
- Prior sign production, printing, visual design, branding, marketing, and/or general B2B sales preferred.
- Must be computer literate and willing to learn various proprietary software programs used to fabricate signage, manage CRM prospects, and the customized pricing and processing of orders
- Possess a good understanding of sales and marketing tactics
- Physical demand: must be able to climb short ladders, stand/sit for long periods of time
- Physical demand: must be in good physical condition and able to lift over 50 pounds
- Must be able to use a tape measure, cell phone camera, and other tools to glean accurate measurements and photos for design/production teams
- Must have valid drivers’ license and good driving record
- Outgoing personality, excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to build strong relationships with potential and current clients.
- Ability to work overtime including early mornings and early evenings, with occasional weekend work, in order to attend occasional town meetings, trade shows, and local business or Chamber events
