We are looking for a Packaging Specialist (third shift) who will be performing the manufacturing steps utilizing the proper equipment and following instructions defined in applicable safety policies, GMP’s, standard operating procedures and Batch Production Records in either electronic or paper format.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Request additional components or bulk as needed. Receive materials and perform verification with SAP. Coordinate in advance required materials for next door. Coordinate waste removal from the line.
- Perform steps that includes operations, cleaning, setup, changeover, adjustments, assist in preventive maintenance and minor repairs, material handling, packaging components verification, and return unused packaging components and bulk after process is finished.
- Perform preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and materials handling. Verify packaging components, return unused packaging components and bulk after process is finished to perform packaging reconciliation. Supply components or bulk during packaging operations at all stations.
- Train Packaging Operators and Packaging Technicians lower level on packaging process and equipment.
- Apply safety policies and GMP knowledge in daily operations involving self and other team members (i.e.BASE, LOTO, LOCK Out/Tag Out, PPE utilization, 5’s, housekeeping, gowning, good documentation practices, and cross contamination preventive, etc.). perform daily safety inspections (BASE).
- Monitor packaging operations, perform quality in-process checks and device challenges and perform in-line packaging record review.
- Perform cleaning of room, equipment and general area as per respective SOP’s. Performance line clearances and setup certifications.
- Take ownership of “end-to-end” packaging line equipment performance. Work with reliability and Maintenance Engineers to learn and implement techniques to continuously improve packaging equipment reliability and efficiency. Review OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) data and interact daily with Operators to expose and resolve equipment related to reliability and efficiency issues.
- Clean change over and se up equipment following weekly packaging schedule and related SOP’s. Receive materials and make verifications of packaging components. Perform equipment device challenges.
- Know and follow instructions on packaging Records (paper or electronic): Monitor operating parameters and perform device challenges of production/process during each respective packaging step. Communicate packaging deviations immediately and participate in troubleshooting with other team members.
- Participate actively in process improvement projects.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Associate Degree in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, instrumentation or related Degree plus 7 plus years of experience as Manufacturing/Packaging Operator
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of applied experience in PLC and computer-based packaging equipment. the area.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Proficient in basic computer programs and 7 years of applied experience in PLC and computer-based packing equipment plus advanced math. Knowledge of all operations in the area.
