Job description
GENERAL PURPOSE: Provide assistance with the movement of work in process (WIP) and finished product to and from the press.
Assist other press packer make cartons, label cartons, load finished product on racks or pallets and move finished production to the next location.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Follows product flow instructions.
Reads and understands job tickets and customer requirements.
Understands Quality Control requirements for given jobs.
Assists operator in watching quality as press is running live product
Catches finished cards as they come on the press delivery table in order into correctly labeled sleeves
Ensures product data integrity before packing cards into sleeves
Packages product per job ticket.
Adheres to Quality Control process.
Maintains 5S conditions.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to change.
Must be good at math, and keep cards in numerical order Must be able to work well in a team environment.
Must demonstrate knowledge of or ability to learn safety rules and procedures, and operating policies and procedures.
Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
Must be able to maintain good attendance.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
