POSITION: Painter

DIVISION: District Operations

DEPARTMENT: Operations & Maintenance

DAYS SCHEDULED: 262 Days

SALARY SCHEDULE: Skilled Craft/Technical, Grade 7

REPORTS TO: Painter Lead Person

I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION Receive daily assignments. Execute them in a safe and timely manner, ensuring the safety and well being of all facilities and its occupants accordingly.

II. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Ability to climb and perform on ladders, scaffolds, and other riggings on a daily basis.

B. Properly prepare areas.

C. Patch holes of all sizes successfully.

D. Work harmoniously with supervisors, faculty, students and staff members.

E. Maintain all tools and equipment issued to you.

F. Cosmetically maintaining 65 buildings, markings on parking lots, and playgrounds, graffiti removal.

G. Ability to lift heavy objects.

H. Successfully apply all material related to craft.

I. Operate applicators such as airless, cup gun and others related to craft.

I. Responsible for snow plowing on an as needed basis.

J. All other duties as assigned.

III. TRAINING, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A. High School Diploma or equal.

B. Three years experience as a painter.

C. Knowledge of all tools related to trade.

D. Experience with working together as a team.

E. Proper set up and clean up of paint related materials and tools.

F. Must possess valid motor vehicle operator’s license and meet district driving standards annually. See Board Policy EDAB for district standards..
