Summary

As a painter you will clean, prep and paint manufactured metals such as stair cases, railings and balconies. You must be aware of the materials needed to complete a job and make sure you always have stock of these items.

Qualifications/Responsibilities

• Cleaning and wiping down metals with the necessary products to prep for paint.
• Choosing the correct materials to use for the specific job.
• Cleaning and maintaining your paint sprayer.
• Changing and cleaning out the filters in your paint sprayer.
• Making sure you have back up filters for the paint sprayer.
• Taking stock of the material you have and notifying your manager when items get low.
• Keeping a tidy work space and cleaning up at the end of the day.
• Ability to work with a team as well as independently.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to safety – must be able to work in accordance with safety standards as outline by the company.
• Pays attention to details and observe safety precautions.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions.
• Safety meeting attendance; minimum (not limited to) once a week.
• Read and follow simple to complicated instructions daily.
• Ability to manage one’s own time.
• Reliable individual with good work ethic.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• May be required to work overtime daily.
• Regular and consistent attendance at the assigned work hours is essential.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Must have good communication skills and the ability to multitask.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED. Proof must be provided.
• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs.
• Knowledge of paint materials
• 1-3 years of experience with paint sprayer
• Basic Math Skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
• Must pass a drug test. (NO exceptions)

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an outside environment; walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; may stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach and twist; push, pull, lift and/or carry light to moderate amounts of weights; and verbally communicate to exchange information.

Environment: Work is performed primarily in shop environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions; work and/or walk on various types of surfaces including slippery or uneven surfaces and rough terrain; incumbents may be required to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.21 per hour
