NOW HIRING: Do you have a passion for painting in a manufacturing setting? We are growing our Finishing Paint department here at Millerbernd Manufacturing! We are looking for a paint team on the weekend shift (Friday-Sunday 5am-5pm) which will include a Blaster(Painter I), an Assembler and a Material Handler. Weekend shift has a shift differential of $2.50/hour on top of your base rate. A 4-day work week for 1st or 2nd shift and a 3-day work week for weekend shift with voluntary overtime when you want overtime!
Position Overview
The Painter I/II is responsible for primer and paint application in the manufacture of various pole products in accordance with high quality product specifications.
Essential Job Functions
- Use a variety of techniques to prepare and prime product surfaces, according to product specifications
- Inspect complete work and correct defects (i.e. nicks, scratches, etc.)
- Understand difference between primer types
- Monitor the production board and internal paperwork to perform tasks in the designated sequence
- Requests equipment and supplies for completing assigned work
- Move and organize incoming paint into storage area
