Legal Aid of Western Missouri is seeking a full-time paralegal to join our team of attorneys at our our Warrensburg, Missouri office.

This position will have the option to work a hybrid remote schedule after training and probationary period.

Some of the duties of this position include:

• Complete intake interviews for general domestic relations cases
• Meeting with and fact finding interviews with clients
• Assisting in drafting motions and other court documents
• Attending and participating in training and community outreach presentations
• Working with local victim advocates and other legal professionals
• Providing support to multiple staff attorneys
• Other administrative duties as needed and assigned

Experience:

• Excellent written and oral communication
• Strong desire to assist in the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients with limited means and/or limited English proficiency.
• College degree, paralegal certificate or relevant experience
• Second language proficiency ideal
