ASSISTANT BAKER Nothing Bundt Cakes (Tulsa) is open Monday to Friday from 9AM to 6PM and on Saturdays from 10AM to 6PM.

The Nothing Bundt Cakes Assistant Baker partners with the Lead Baker to ensure that cakes of the highest quality are consistently created for our guests, contributing to superior service by meeting production demands. Following strict proprietary recipes, Nothing Bundt Cakes production methods, and food safety standards, the Assistant Baker helps the Lead Baker perform the repeated baking process for our delicious cakes offered in a variety of flavors and sizes. The Assistant Baker embodies Nothing Bundt Cakes core values and demonstrates a strong commitment to excellence and efficiency in the workplace.

*** Please note that this is a Part Time position for the Tulsa Nothing Bundt Cakes location at 7890 E. 106th Place, Tulsa OK 74133. *** Education and Work Requirements:Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.

• No experience necessary. We will train on site.
• Previous experience within a bakery or restaurant kitchen setting is a plus.
• Must obtain a Food Handler’s Permit after being hired.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows Nothing Bundt Cakes recipes and cake production methods with precision to achieve productivity goals.
• Effectively use measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other baking tools to bake our cakes.
• Assist the Lead Baker by accurately preparing raw ingredients and equipment for the baking process, including cake pans, the oven.
• Adhere to the proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes.
• Adhere to the proper rotation standards for baked cakes and cake ingredients.
• Adhere to the proper labeling of refrigeration logs.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock the baking workstation to ensure all baking supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift.
• Comply with all health and safety guidelines and Nothing Bundt Cakes policies and procedures, including strict adherence to personal hygiene.
• Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.

Work Availability:

• Part Time – Must be able to work 10-25 hours a week (Monday through Friday)
• Must have the availability to work shifts between the hours of 8AM and 4PM.
• Must be able to work additional hours during the holiday season as needed: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, etc,
• Must be able to work occasional shifts on Saturdays as needed for large order preparation or holiday preparation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Able to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents, such as recipes, operating procedures, and health and safety rules, applying knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
• Understands basic units of measurements used within the US.
• Has the ability and strength to perform repetitive physical tasks that require the use of the arms, hands and fingers for extended periods of time.
• Has the ability and strength to lift moderate to heavy items (up to 50lbs).
• Has the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Has the ability to operate a commercial-grade oven and other bakery equipment work adjacent to a high-heat source.
• Is meticulous about using exact measurements, paying strict attention to timing, and working on a tight, fast-paced production schedule.
• Can evaluate products, information, and surroundings to determine compliance with Nothing Bundt Cakes standards.
• Has a strong attention to detail with the ability to adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards.
• Is diligent, organized, and self-motivated with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
