Rand Logistics is the parent company of American Steamship Company, Conneaut Creek Ship Repair, Grand River Navigation Company, Lower Lakes Towing . We are one of the largest marine transportation service providers operating on the Great Lakes today with a dedicated ship repair facility and a combined fleet of 22 bulk freight vessels in service to over 50 customers across the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway System.

Our company is seeking a well-organized and self-directed persons for the position of Part Time Delivery Driver. This position will be located in our Toledo, OH location.

Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager and Warehouse Foreman, the Delivery and Crewing Drivers are responsible for delivering Provisions, Supplies, and crew members to our fleet of bulk freight vessels around the Great Lakes basin, and for picking up and transporting arriving and departing crew members to and from their homes, airports, and vessels as needed.

Responsibilities

• Loading, transporting, and unloading food and supplies to vessels at various locations around the Great Lakes.
• Transporting crew members to vessels at various locations around the Great Lakes.
• Clean delivery vehicles.
• Communicate with various company departments for dispatch instructions and scheduling updates.
• Safety check of vehicle prior to use.
• Follow all company policies, and procedures pertaining to employment.
• Follow USDOT regulations.

Required Skills

• Available to work days, evenings and weekends to support vessel and warehouse operations.
• Overnight stays may be occasionally required.
• Sitting and driving for extended periods of time.
• Good communication and navigation skills.
• Able to drive at night on back-roads, highways, in urban areas and in adverse weather conditions when deemed safe.
• Able to operate trucks with GVWR up to 25,999 lbs
• Able to safely operate vehicles with trailers

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. CDL prefered.
• Drug and alcohol prescreening will be required.
• Participation in the Company Random Drug Program
• Driving Record Background Screen will be required.

This is a part-time position. Weekly schedule and hours will vary.
