Locally owned and operated, Santé Center for Healing’s goal is to provide individuals and families long-term recovery. From a beautiful wooded hilltop in Argyle (outside of Denton), Santé’s expert clinical and medical staff specialize in substance use disorders, mental health, dual diagnosis and poly-addiction, problematic sexual behavior, co-occurring disordered eating, compulsive behavior…and ultimately the trauma so often underneath it all. And we’ve been making “miracles happen on the hill” for 25 years.
Because research supports a longer length of stay and a continuum of care are more likely to support long-term recovery, Santé’s levels of care include, but are not limited to: medical detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient (day and evening), transitional living, maintaining proper boundaries course, family programming, outpatient clinic, and relapse prevention through lifelong alumni services.
This individual provides therapy to the patients and their family members.
Responsibilities:
- Meets with case manager to discuss any specific needs of patient for family therapy and assists with treatment planning.
- Verifies that release of information has been signed, determines whether family member can be called and the current status of relationship.
- Contacts family member(s) when appropriate.
- Participates in staffing and utilization review as scheduled by the Director. Makes recommendations to treatment team about family dynamics of patient.
- Communicates effectively with case manager and Clinical Director related to families ability to support patient in a way that enhances recovery.
- Reviews assignments and make suggestions for changes to patient, notify case manager of any changes needed.
- Conducts family and couples sessions.
- Provides Psycho educational presentations to family members and patients.
- Documents sessions in medical records. Submit summary to case manager for inclusion in discharge summary.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Counseling, or related field with three years experience working with families and various addictions. Knowledge of family systems. Licensed in the state of Texas as LMFT, LMFT-A, LPC, LPC-A, LCSW, or LMSW. For persons in recovery, you must have a minimum of two years recovery.

- Apply motivational interviewing techniques when interacting with patients and family members
- Apply the principles of family systems in therapy sessions
- Apply principles of group dynamics
- Distinguish the difference between appropriate and inappropriate behavior
- Display coping skills to deal with multiple duties and priorities
- Communicate clearly verbally and in written format
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and objectives
- Maintain confidential information
