Senior HR Generalist - Part Time

Our client is a small family run blue collar business with 100 employees. Whilst they have partnered closely with a HR Consultancy firm for 10 years (and will continue to do so), this is a first full hire for a dedicated HR Specialist. The role will report into the MD, and have full support of an administrator.

The role would support an experienced HR Generalist with strong experience across most HR facets.

The company has an excellent culture, where people are treated respectfully and fairly, but from time to time there may be disciplinaries or grievances, so experience managing an ER process will be important.

This is a part-time position with flexibility to build around the incoming candidate, this may be 3 full days per week, or 5 mornings per week (or a mix). The role will be working onsite in Dublin 12. Salary is 40,000 - 50,000 DOE. This is the full-time salary so will be pro-rata. For example, if a highly experienced candidate is offered the role at the max range of 50,000, and agrees to work 3 days per week, then the take home salary will be 30,000 p/a.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the senior management team and advise on all HR matters
  • Contribute towards key strategic initiatives
  • Manage the full employee life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding
  • Manage ER including carrying out investigations, disciplinaries, and grievance procedures
  • Ensure policies and procedures are fit for purpose and are in line with best practice
  • Create and design new HR policies and improvements
  • Promote all initiatives around employee well-being.
  • Manage HR administration with the support of an administrator
  • Manage the apprenticeship scheme
  • Annual leave and absence records and procedures.
  • Carry out reviews of current training programmes including H&S and Management Training
  • Act as main point of contact on all employee HR queries
  • Adhoc work such as event and social management

Requirements:

  • CIPD Qualified
  • 3 years' experience in a full HR Generalist role
  • Highly personable with excellent communication skills
