Job description

The Arc Nature Coast day training program is looking for a part time Life Skills Development Instructor.

Part-time work schedule: Monday, Thursday and Friday 9am – 5pm.

Responsible for providing direct care, support and behavioral modification services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

• Training and coaching in occupational skills, socialization, personal hygiene and daily living.
• Participate as an equal Team member providing supports and training to customers based on a person-centered approach.
• Transport customers to and from their day program and/or activities.
• Complete required daily notes on customer activities.
• Ensure all communication with customers, families, co-workers and supervisors is done in a professional and courteous manner.
• Respect the confidentiality of customers, co-workers and the agency in accordance with HIPAA policies.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

• A valid Florida driver license and clean driving record
• High school diploma or GED
• Prior experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities (preferred)
• Reliable and self-motivated
