General Summary

The Sales Associate’s primary role is to assist customers and provide a positive experience to fostering customer loyalty. Associate’s will assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service:

• Provide a positive representation of Ash & Rowan ACE, ACE on Francis, Ace at Indian Trail
• Follow the Ace SALES process with every customer.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
• Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
• Participate in at least 20 hours of training each year.

Store Operations

• Follow all assigned checklists to maintain the stores appearance and safety.
• Continue knowledge of store operations and merchandise.
• Learn how to cashier to assist at the front end when needed.
• Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
• Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area.
• Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
• Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
• Provide assistance to Store Manager, i.e. price changes, special orders, and online orders.
• Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
• Operate forklift with proper training if needed.
• Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales idea to Store Manager.
• Participate in store meetings.
• Be professional in appearance and actions.

Education/Training

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience

Three years of formal retail experience/customer service preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft and PC operations is recommended. Must be 18 years of age.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate must be able to her, speak, and see to clearly communicate with customers and other team members. The job requires extended periods of standing. Associate must be able to lift at least 80lbs.
