Horwith Freightliner, a Lehigh Valley based Freightliner & Western Star dealership has an immediate opening for an experienced Heavy-Duty Truck Service Advisor/Writer at our Northampton, PA facility. This is a Part Time Monday - Friday 3:00PM - 8:00PM position.

The Service Advisor/Writer is responsible for planning, scheduling, directing and evaluating the repair and servicing needs of customer equipment. The position also directs and supports the Technicians to ensure that all repairs are performed correctly and efficiently. Interested candidates must have mechanical aptitude, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to relate to customers in a positive and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

· Help identify customer complaint / problem by questioning the customer and/or doing a visual inspection.

· Communicate with customers about inspection results, recommended corrective procedures and prepare work orders for needed repairs.

· Document the customer’s concerns on the repair order to assist the technician with locating the problem.

· Monitor the progress of vehicle repair completion by conducting periodic spot checks throughout the shift to ensure timely repairs and quality workmanship.

· Provide on-the-job technical support for technicians and assist in the development of their technical skills and abilities.

· Communicate with customers status of repairs.

· Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted.

· Ensure all documentation and authorization forms are completed and properly executed for any possible warranty claims.

Qualifications:

· Heavy duty truck mechanical knowledge

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Organized, efficient and customer service driven

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision

· Dependability in attendance

· Safety conscience mindset

· Ability to work overtime when needed

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
