Job description

Radford Transit (operated by RTW Management) is looking for a safe, reliable, and friendly driver who is interested in getting a CDL or already has a valid CDL. We help people get around town and the University. The Transit Bus Operator will contribute to our team by:

· Driving routes through Radford and into Montgomery County

· Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, partner divisions, and the public

· Perform associated duties according to RTW’s policies while under pressure and demonstrating respect and courtesy

Qualifications:

· Have a valid Virginia Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with air brakes and passenger endorsement, or be able to obtain a valid drivers license.

· Ability to communicate effectively.

· Ability to deal calmly and effectively with emergencies and to make and implement decisions in all types of situations.

· Ability to pass and maintain DOT physical

· Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol tests

Salary and Benefits

· Starting Salary: $19.50 an hour

· Part-time and full-time positions available flexible schedule

Part-time Benefits

· Up to 4% match on our 401(k)-retirement plan
